Risky Behavior and Addiction Prevention Therapist
Understand the Risk. Build Resilience. Support Healthy Choices.
In our therapy sessions, we will focus on:
• Emotional, social, and environmental roots of risky behavior
• Identifying early signs of substance use and addiction
• Developing healthy outlets for boredom and peer pressure
• Processing stress, trauma, anxiety, or low self-esteem
• Decision-making, emotional regulation, and impulse control
• Building trust and communication between teens and parents
• Fostering a sense of purpose, connection, and confidence
Adolescence is a time of exploration—but sometimes that curiosity leads to choices that can put teens at risk. Whether it’s substance use, vaping, reckless behavior, or unhealthy relationships, teens often engage in risky behaviors not because they’re “bad,” but because they’re overwhelmed, curious, or trying to cope with something they don’t yet have words for.
As a licensed psychotherapist and former medical doctor who works closely with teens and families, I provide a nonjudgmental space to explore the why behind risky choices—and to build the self-awareness, coping tools, and emotional resilience needed to make safer, healthier decisions.
The goal isn’t just prevention—it’s connection. When teens feel seen, heard, and supported, they make better choices. Let’s help them move from risky behavior to empowered behavior—with tools, trust, and guidance they can carry for life.
I provide therapy in Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Venice, Marina Del Rey, Culver City, Mar Vista, Playa Del Rey, West Los Angeles, Pacific Palisades, Palms, and Santa Monica.
