Identity Exploration and Development Therapist
Support Their Becoming. Create Space for Discovery. Help Them Find Who They Are.
In our therapy sessions, teens can explore:
• Personality, values, strengths, and interests
• Gender identity, sexual orientation, and expression
• Cultural identity, bicultural stress, or feeling “in between” worlds
• Family expectations vs. personal desires
• Spiritual or existential questions
• Body image, confidence, and self-worth
• Independence, autonomy, and setting their own path
• Creating an identity beyond grades, popularity, or peers’ opinions
The teenage years are all about asking the big questions: Who am I? What do I believe? Where do I fit in? It’s a time of rapid growth, shifting values, and deep self-reflection—and it can also be confusing, overwhelming, or lonely. With pressure coming from parents, peers, school, and social media, many teens struggle to explore their identity with freedom and confidence.
As a licensed psychotherapist and former medical doctor, I provide a nonjudgmental, affirming space for teenagers to explore who they are becoming—emotionally, socially, spiritually, and culturally. I meet them where they are and help them build a strong, grounded sense of self.
Identity isn’t something they have to “figure out” all at once. It’s something they can discover, with support. Let’s give your teen the space to explore who they are—and the tools to love who they find.
I provide therapy in Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Venice, Marina Del Rey, Culver City, Mar Vista, Playa Del Rey, West Los Angeles, Pacific Palisades, Palms, and Santa Monica.
